Scout Career Opportunities

Consultant Database Manager
As a Consultant Database Manager for Scout Investments you will maintain and update firm/product profiles across all consultant and third party databases. Communicate Scout’s brand messaging, investment philosophy and value added management style. Develop and maintain relationships with consulting firms and complete ad-hoc requests for institutional consultants. In addition, you will coordinate with Marketing, Intermediary and Institutional groups to ensure accuracy of product profiles. Conduct competitor-related database profile research to ensure products are effectively positioned for optimal search utilization and use market/competitor knowledge to proactively manage databases. The Consultant Database Manager will be expected to maintain a robust knowledge of product, consultant and database related information as well as provide solutions through continuous automation and improvement of processes. A bachelor’s degree and 2 years of financial services industry is required.  A bachelor’s degree in business, 4+ years in financial, client-oriented role and Series 6 or 7 licenses is preferred.

Senior RFP Writer
As a Senior RFP Writer for Scout Investments, you will support sales and marketing process by leveraging firm-wide resources to respond to RFPs, RFIs, DDQs and other questionnaires presenting the firm’s products and services. Work closely with senior leaders, investment teams, sales, client service, compliance and operations to present Scout’s products and services accurately and favorably to clients and consultants. In addition, you will update and manage written content in the RFP library and consultant databases to ensure accuracy and consistency with brand and positioning. You will monitor, track and report RFP activity and ensure proper feedback is received. Serve as the primary internal contact for RFP software and liaison with vendor. Identify and execute on process improvements and efficiencies for RFP and data related tasks. Support development of product presentations, reports and marketing materials as needed.  The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience within the financial services or asset management industry, a Bachelor’s degree, RFP experience for an investment firm, effective writing skills, highly organized and attentive to details, a collaborative approach to assignments, effective initiative and self-motivation skills with the ability and flexibility to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment. Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Work skills also preferred.

Scout Performance Analyst
As a Performance Analyst for Scout Investments you will refine and support the investment performance reporting system, monitor and support investment performance analytics as well as generate performance reports as needed. In addition, you will conduct performance attribution analysis, monitor and analyze investment portfolio holding exposures, provide backup for Global Investment Performance Standards and CAPS research. The preferred candidate will have an understanding of investment performance analytics, strong analytical skills along with the ability to research a variety of resources, strong oral and written skills, demonstrate persistence to see projects through completion and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. A bachelors or advanced degree in related subjects is preferred. Minimum of 1 year investment performance analytics experience is preferred but not required.

Scout Operation Analyst
As an Operation Analyst for Scout Investments you will reconcile daily trades between multiple systems and custodians, post and reconcile dividends for all accounts on a daily basis, complete account maintenance as needed, setup securities within our systems and complete ongoing maintenance. In addition, the analyst will perform backup duties on the corporate action database and proxy voting. A college degree with an emphasis on business is preferred. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail as well as proficient knowledge of Excel is required. Strong analytical skills along with the ability to conduct in-depth research a plus.
