Michael Stack, CFA
Michael Stack is co-lead portfolio manager of the Scout International Fund. He has been a member of the Scout International management team since joining the firm in 2006.
Michael has 18 years of investment management experience. Prior to joining Scout, he managed the European Equities Fund at Overseas Asset Management (OAM), an offshore investment firm based in Grand Cayman. Michael’s experience includes assisting in the management of portfolios of European equity portfolios for U.S. Trust Company of New York in New York and London. Before U.S. Trust, Michael worked as a research analyst for a domestic brokerage house in Slovakia. Michael also worked in the fixed income operations of Lehman Brothers.
He earned his master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in finance and international business from Columbia Business School in New York and his Bachelor of Commerce degree from University College Dublin. He is a CFA® charterholder and a member of CFA Society Kansas City, as well as the CFA Institute.
James L Moffett, CFA
Jim Moffett is the chief international strategist for Scout Investments. In this role, he is responsible for directing Scout’s International investment team and for driving Scout’s international economic and capital markets outlook. He also serves as the co-lead portfolio manager for the Scout International Fund.
Jim joined the firm in 1979 and has more than 44 years of investment management experience. Prior to joining Scout, he was a private investment counselor and portfolio manager.
Jim has received numerous accolades for his investment performance, earning national recognition from leading ratings organizations and financial publications.
He earned his bachelor's degree from Harvard University and an MBA from Stanford. He is a CFA® charterholder and a member of CFA Society Kansas City, as well as the CFA Institute.
Michael Fogarty, CFA
Michael Fogarty is co-portfolio manager of the Scout International Fund.
Michael has been a member of the Scout International management team since joining the firm in 2002 and has 25 years of investment management experience. Prior to joining Scout, he held positions with a number of investment firms, including UniCredit Aton in Moscow, Sterling Grace Capital Management in New York and Worldsec International Ltd. in Hong Kong.
He earned his master’s degree in business administration from the Olin School of Business at Washington University and his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and business administration from the University of Kansas. Michael is a CFA® charterholder, a member of the CFA Institute as well as member and past president of CFA Society Kansas City.
